Eyelash extensions can be roughly divided into two categories: artificial synthesis fibers and real mink hairs, when customers ask what’s the difference between the two and which is better, how would you answer?
Synthetic lashes are hard, but the curl and shape are better. After grafting, they can obviously reflect the effect of your lash extensions. But there’s also another kind of synthetic lashes, that’s the well-known silk lash extensions (eyelash extension manufacturer), very close to natural eyelashes, relatively soft, with a certain shape and curl so grafting effect is very natural.
Mink hair comes from minks, in addition to making eyelashes thicker, it’s also very soft and comfortable.
Generally speaking, the better grafting effect is mink hair, but the price is relatively higher, a reasonable price is more import for most of the customers, so we need recommend the most suitable type of eyelashes according to the needs of customers.
Why finished eyelash extension appears to be weak?
Some lash technicians may ever wonder: It performs very well when I doing the lash extensions, why it becomes weak after finished? Part of it falls off every few days. What is the reason?
- The lashes are grafted far away from the root
Lashes are grafted at the root of the original eyelash, and the best distance is between 0.5-1.5mm to the root of the real eyelashes. This can maximize the guarantee of protecting eyes, and can be grafted more firmly. If the technician is not skilled, it is easy to go too far from the root. The farther away from the root, the thinner and softer the lashes are, the weaker their support to lashes and they are easy to fall off because of washing or other physical stimulation.
So it takes a lot of practice to find the best position to graft.
- Finished eyelashes become root up
In the operation if the lash technician did not find the correct support point, it cannot do parallel grafting. In addition, if the lash extension dips too long into the adhesive, it will result in roots up as well.
The eyelash extensions with roots up will be unsatisfied, so fall off easily.
The eyelash technician should adjust the weight of the hand and shift the weight on the eyelashes, dip in the appropriate amount of glue, glue into the length of about one-third of the eyelashes, find the angle of parallel grafting; you can avoid the root problem.
Why do eyelash extensions don’t keep long?
Generally speaking, the retention time of a finished eyelash extensions set is usually 1-2 months, but may be shorter.
There are two reasons for this. One is the handling skills of different lash technicians. If the operation is improper, it will lead to eyelashes falling off. For example, the adhesion between eyelashes and native eyelashes is not in place, too much or too less glue both speed up the falling off of real lashes together with false eyelashes.
The second reason is related to the growth cycle of your eyelashes.
Generally, an eyelash falls off naturally from new birth in about 4 weeks. With the loss of native lashes, fake lashes will naturally fall off, that’s why customers need a replant after a month to keep the best status of lashes.
Hope these three questions and answers help you with your doubts. Learn standard operation and practice more, your handling techniques will stand out!
